Ritom funicular

The “Piotta, Funicolare” Postbus stop in Piotta is the starting point for the Ritom funicular, which is an easy way to reach the region of the alpine lakes of the Val Piora.

The 12-minute ascent with this iconic means of transport can be considered as an attraction in its own right. The funicular ride offers breathtaking views over the surrounding valleys at a maximum incline of 87.8%.

On reaching the mountain station of the funicular, hikers discover the unique and distinctive Ritom-Piora region spread out below them in all its glory. Its impressive landscape offers countless possibilities for excursions and outdoor activities.
